We need to determine what book to read next. Does anyone have any suggestions? Eric has already read Fahrenheit 451, so we need to pick a different book.
Alex just gave me a copy of Crime and Punishment. I know your feelings towards Mr. Dostoevsky so I will not suggest we read it, but I did want to share my excitement.
I was surprised by that in the movie because the animals played a large role in the book. The movie was only inspired by the book rather than say The Road that could be considered an adaptation. Mercerism added another dimension to the book. The battle for your soul. Plus the whole opening sequence of the book where Deckard and wife are arguing over what to program themselves for is one of the funniest parts of the book.

ReplyDeleteSo i finished reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. I liked it.
ReplyDeleteWhat? You hadn't read it? I know Eric didn't read it, but did Cathy and Lily?
ReplyDeleteI think Lily did. It was a good read, I like the themes that the movie didn't have, such as Mercerism and the animals.
